Currently, around 46% of Northern Ireland’s electricity is generated from renewable sources, with target figures pointing toward 70% and beyond by 2030 on the path to net-zero.

A Growing Renewable Ecosystem – Belfast’s First Wind Farm

Northern Ireland’s renewable ecosystem continues to grow as 3T Power expands its model by combining generation with supply alongside its established network of independent generators. A major milestone in this expansion was last year’s launch of Belfast’s first dedicated wind farm project located at Ballyutoag Road, just outside of Belfast.

Featuring five wind turbines, the Ballyutoag wind farm generated enough clean electricity to power over 8000 local businesses annually while reducing annual carbon dioxide emissions by 14,800 tonnes. Furthermore, the project directly supports the local economy by providing employment and opportunities for local contractors during development, reinforcing a strong and growing province-wide network.

This is just the first of a number of large-scale generation projects 3T Power is progressing to further build our supply capacity for our growing customer base, so they can rest assured that we will never outsell our generation capacity.
